Courtdress with fan
This period correct 1740's courtdress is entirely sewn by me (only the embroidery on the stomacher was made by a friend and the fan was made by www.chenillesetpapillons.com )

This is the reconstruction of a 18th century courtdress. In France it was called a "robe à la francaise" in Britain it was refered to as a sack back. The dimensions of the panniers (hoopskirt) are absolutely historically correct. I have sewn it completely myself, it is made from pure silk damask . The embroidery on the stomacher was made by a friend.

I know I'm not a very gifted harpsichordplayer but this was more about the dress I'm wearing. To stress not too much on the patience and ears of my viewers I played only the first two lines ;o) I made it myself (expect the embroidery on the stomacher!) This petticoat is of course NOT authentic for 1860! It is coverd with ruffles of petticoatnylon and has an elastic in the waistband.
